The living history of the 20th century is being lost daily as it fades from old photos, journals, home movies and the memory of our elders. The mission of the Living Legacy Project is to preserve this valuable resource while we still can. We seek to educate, motivate and mentor people in the process of saving their personal history, assisting where needed and providing a secure online archive to protect and share these memories with families, educators and genealogical researchers. The Project's key components are described below.

I-ASK (Int'l Assoc. of StoryKeepers) is an organization of independent heritage professionals dedicated to saving the living history of our time. Members are mentored through an online Certified Legacy Advisor course, then provided career pathways to serve a growing demand in the senior living and financial planning arenas.

Genealogists, personal historians, photo scanning specialists, and caring people looking for purposeful work are fulfilling dreams by saving history with I-ASK.

LegacyStories.org is the official family-connection archive and sharing platform for the Living Legacy Project. The site provides free and secure cloud-based back-up storage for the things families hold most dear—their legacy stories, photos, audios and family history. The site enables members to share this content and collaborate in its accumulation with anyone they choose. Each story or media contribution can be linked to one of 3.3 billion ancestor records in the world’s official family tree of humankind.

A recent survey conducted by a major financial services company found that when it comes to receiving or passing down an inheritance, Baby Boomers and their parents (the Greatest Generation) prefer values over valuables by a factor of 7 to 1. Yet, less than 1% have taken any action to secure their legacy. The main reasons are time, money, humility and the overwhelming process. The Legacy Matters Program was developed as a means to help people overcome these obstacles.

How does an ant eat an elephant? One bite at a time. The Legacy Matters Program offers a 'taste of legacy" requiring less than an hour of time and at a cost of under $100 and in some cases, no cost at all. Once experiencing a sample of the treasures possessed it becomes much easier to take the next step to taking full control of a personal or family legacy.
