Deborah Lynne King 1948-2014

Deborah Lynne King, 65, passed away January 29, 2014, in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Debbie, as she was known to her friends and family, was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, June 11, 1948, to Albert Wesley King, Sr., and Barbara Muriel Dannals King.

She graduateb2ap3_thumbnail_Debbie-King-rm-edit_20150323-020308_1.jpgd from West Springfield High School in 1966 and attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.

Debbie was a freelance computer programmer for most of her professional career. She lived  and worked in the Lynchburg area for the last 20 years.

Her passions were her cats and her quilts. She was an avid and excellent quilter and donated many beautiful quilts to the Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center, as well as friends and family and others she met.

She was generous in many, quiet ways and made lasting friendships in Lynchburg, which she treasured.

She is survived by two brothers: Stewart Nicholas (Norma) King II, of Liberty, Mo.; Albert Wesley (Margaret) King, Jr., Ocala, Fl.; a sister, Patty Johnson, Ludlow, Mass.;  and many nieces and nephews.

She will be missed.
